Atlan is the story of Ali, a young Turkman horse trainer who plans on using the prize money from his award-winning horse Ilhan to pay for his wedding. But when unexpected problems arise, Ali needs to fight for Ilhan and for his own future. This film highlights the importance of horses in the life of Iranian Turkmen, where horse races are often highly significant social events. Cast includes Ali Bagheri.

The Buffalo Showtime 2:00 pm. Tragedy strikes a couple, Shokufeh and Iman, when their plan to flee Iran is cut short by Iman’s accidental drowning in a lagoon. A diver called Bahram the Buffalo is assigned to find Iman’s body and a relationship begins to develop between him and Shokufeh. Upon release, it became a huge commercial success, breaking numerous box office records, including as the highest-grossing film in China,[10] before The Mermaid took the crown in 2016.
